Public Comments
Pursuant to RCW 34.05.325, PLIA invites public participation in our rulemaking efforts. Information on current rulemaking can be found on PLIA’s Rules Agenda or Rulemaking page. Public comment sessions are intended to elicit comments, feedback, and questions about the proposed rule language. All comments are deemed a disclosable public record under the public records act, Chapter 42.56 RCW. Written or electronic submissions are also acceptable by email or mail to: PLIA Rules Coordinator, P.O. Box 40930, Olympia, WA 98504-0930.
Public Comment Sessions:
PLIA recently took public comments regarding a proposal to amend Chapter 374-70 WAC Heating Oil Pollution Liability Insurance Program to reflect statutory updates and how the agency administers the program. The agency held a public comment period from 8:00 am on February 18, 2026, until 5:00 pm on March 19, 2026. You can now view submitted comments and PLIA’s responses regarding this rulemaking effort. PLIA held public comment Zoom sessions on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
- Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 12 pm to 1:30 pm.
- Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
Listening Sessions
PLIA hosts listening sessions to share information about our programs and services when there is a new policy or change. These sessions are open to the public. We welcome comments, feedback, and dialogue about our work.
