Public Participation

PLIA invites public participation in our proposed rules. For information on current rulemaking please see PLIA’s Rulemaking web page.

PLIA hosts informal public participation activities along with the formal public hearings that are required under state law.

During formal public hearings: All comments must be made in the presence and hearing of other attendees and are deemed a public record that may be disclosed under the public records act, Chapter 42.56 RCW. Written or electronic submissions are also acceptable.

PLIA will hold listening sessions for the new Financial Assurance Program during September and October. We will post the dates and times here, or you can email pliamail@plia.wa.gov if you would like to be notified of the schedule.
